Designated areas of East Point Reserve are being opened this weekend but the public access in the Reserve remains limited.
The clean-up has prioritised East Point Road and Alec Fong Lim Drive between the front gate and the Aeromodellers Club and the area around Lake Alexander.
The map shows the designated area that will be open from Saturday morning, in time for weekend activities.
There is vehicle access to Defence of Darwin Experience Museum and the Fannie Bay Equestrian Club.
There are still many areas of East Point Reserve that have not been cleared yet. This will take some time.
The community is asked to stay out of other areas of the Reserve and take all reasonable care in the area.
City of Darwin’s four regional parks are now a priority for our cyclone response crews to clean up and make safe and accessible. These regional parks are at Lake Alexander, Bicentennial Park, Yanyula Park (Anula) and Jingili Watergardens.
